Our client approached and detained us for this project to gestate interiors for the home unit. Integrating simplicity and functionality in design was the key intent. House with four bedrooms and three living spaces.  The site is located in the heart of the city, there’s green foliage in the surroundings that is visible from inside the house. With the blend of natural lights across different areas with good ventilation thereby letting the natural air pass across the house, unfussy and aesthetic appeal and suffused with a sense of refined elegance is this 5000 sqft apartment in Nagpur.

Ava House is an interesting medley of different material palettes, eclectic accent pieces and clean-lined furniture. Upholstered sofas in rich green and metallic bling hints conjure the living room's seating arrangement. Touches of decadence from the chandelier, artwork and soft rug create a cohesive look. Glass demarcates the different areas offering fluidity and hints of privacy to suit the homeowner's needs. Warm tones of wood juxtapose the opulence of the richly veined marble for an inviting vibe. An interplay of patterns keeps the visual interest drawn throughout this space — be it the monochromatic flooring or the use of rattan furniture in the deck area. An understated colour scheme permeates the bedrooms, instilling a sense of sophistication while having a pared-back feel.

The colour palette for each room was customised keeping in mind the personality of the user while ensuring harmony, balance and continuity across all the spaces of the house. For instance, the pairing of different surfaces to create rich backdrops, and the fluted pattern that runs as a leitmotif across the apartment. “Sophisticated details such as fluted patterns on the furniture pieces and the walls have been used across the house. Colourful artworks for each space have been customised to suit the decor”. The walls which have been kept plain are used as a blank canvas to exhibit artworks and photographs, and these have been aesthetically integrated into the colour theme of each room. Textured walls have been evolving across the Den Room which gives a soothing and relaxing feel. Customised glass partitions in the metal frame help in creating the progression in the house.

The duo experiments with fresh colour schemes for each space, paired with clean- lined furniture pieces and combinations if different surface treatments, all of which are skilfully curated and juxtaposed to render a well-balanced, clean visual narrative. White and wood are the predominant tones, that harmoniously tie in with the varied prints, patterns and textures that are peppered across the home. “An interplay of patterns keeps the visual interest drawn throughout the spaces, like the warm tones of the wood that juxtapose the opulence of the richly veined marble, to create an inviting vibe”. In this project, fastidiously executed details give rise to a home that marries a redefined aesthetic through functionality. When it comes to the interior furnishing, the various spaces feature furniture sourced from Alsorg, lighting fixtures from Terra Trading and the White Teak Company, along with Italian Marble from Classic Marble Company for the flooring and wall finishes from Asian Paints.
