The design was influenced by the lifestyle of the occupants & the beautiful views of Kerala landscape on the east side.

They wanted the space to be on the darker side, with more greys and monochrome colors.

We took those inputs in but made the decision to bring in sunshine predominantly from the east side, so that there was a play of shadows and highlights bringing in life to the space.

Without the balcony, it was a 70 square meter apartment, so we re-planned the layout to make the space functional and spacious.

The kitchen was redesigned into a linear space, hiding in every need of an urban couple. We choose to blend black and dark wood with some beautiful granite.

Primary materials used were polished cement plaster, wood and egg shell white paint & vitrified tile flooring. Dark green shades were used on few walls which also reflects the shades of the plants in the balcony.
