The design philosophy ideated vernacular architecture in a contemporary sense, by incorporating vernacular ethos and typical characteristics such as courtyards and stone masonry and translated it by exuding a contemporary vibe. For instance, the stone work is complemented by metal pergolas, along with massing which comprises of intervals in white, to depict stark contrast in a balanced composition, with the sciography enhancing the dynamism of the design. The entrance abets in highlighting the features with elaborate wood work along with a vertical garden. The uniqueness of the interiors takes after the architecture, as if unfolded impeccably. Within the interiors, the fusion is represented through the materials wood, and a few classical rustic pieces of furniture as well as art, highlighted by the base, stataurio flooring.

The home has been zoned into hierarchical spaces, with the different public areas ebbing into each other, with the courtyard being the connection to the spaces situated on the first floor. With seven bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and a kitchen, along with a family room and home theatre system, the home resplendently suits the family. The arrangement is such that the ground floor itself accommodates the living-dining-kitchen, with a small office, as well as three bedrooms, and a prayer room.

The courtyard of the house, a traditional feature of vernacular houses, becomes a focal point in this contemporary rendition, and the staircase which leads to the higher level, becomes a part of this vital space. A vertical garden has been designed in the courtyard which extends to the first floor, thereby essentially bringing nature within the home. The first floor itself consists of three more bedrooms, along with the home theatre. The family room exudes comfort with a library merging into it.

Two courtyards have been designed for this house, the first of which is the central focal courtyard. The second courtyard is a courtyard along the prayer room. Their composition allows the filter of light in the linear orientation of the house, which imbibes warmth into the home and hearth. There is a third skylight, along a large mural which extends from the ground floor to the first. Acknowledging the importance of natural light, one can see how this design reflects the principle and adds to the value of the house. A turbo ventilator has also been placed at the central courtyard, which, reliant of Stack Effect, ensures constant air flow within the house.

Through the design the architects exemplified a model which takes in from the roots of our past, while evolving into something which looks into our future. The beauty of the traditional elements as well as the contemporary design is elevated by the simple elegance of this project.
