This high-end residential interior design project is a luxurious and sophisticated space that exudes elegance and style. It reflects the clients’ personalities and vision of living in a space that is “as subtle as it is impactful, and as beautiful as it is functional.” Therefore, the overall design aesthetic is contemporary, with clean lines and a largely neutral colour palette. The use of natural materials, such as wood, stone, and textured fabrics, along with brighter, bolder accents, adds warmth and character to the space.
The main living area is an open-plan layout, with the living room, dining room, and kitchen all flowing seamlessly together. The living room features large, dramatic windows that bathe the space in radiant natural light. A plush, modern swing almost acts as the focal point here and is furnished with comfortable, high-end furnishings. Furniture pieces also include a plush sectional sofa and accent chairs in rich, faux leather fabrics. A smaller space in the living room, meant for close gatherings, can be enclosed with sliding & folding glass doors.
The dining room, adjoining the living area, is set off by a sleek, contemporary chandelier and is furnished with a large dining table. The table boasts a gorgeous blue breccia marble top and is accompanied by stylish, modern dining chairs.
The kitchen is a true masterpiece, with state-of-the-art, high-end appliances, custom cabinetry, and beautiful, quartz stone countertops. The kitchen also features a marble breakfast bar, overlooking the dining area, with bar chair seating for casual meals.
The design of the prayer room (mandir) was not only vital to the clients’ sentiments but also a design challenge in itself. Ultimately, the mandir, with its beautiful door adorned with tiny bells, turned out to be a space of serenity and calm. The backdrop of a hand painted, abstracted Kalpavriksha behind the idol dais became a highlight of the space.
The bedrooms are designed to be peaceful retreats, with comfortable, high-end bedding, and soothing colour palettes. The master suite has an opulent character with brass and distressed mirror components. The room is visually sectioned into an informal lounge area and the resting area. The general design language of the project also carries through in this area with strong lines and soft curves, dotted with highlighting elements. The bedroom also has a functionally designed walk-in. Much to the clients’ liking, the luxurious en-suite bathroom lends itself to being a relaxing sanctuary, with a jacuzzi soaking tub, a multi jet shower panel and designer fittings and fixtures.
The overall design of the project is completed with thoughtful details and high-end finishes that make this space truly one-of-a-kind. The lighting is specially designed to accentuate the beauty of the space. The windows are dressed in high-end, custom window treatments that add an element of luxury. The corridors too, are thoughtfully designed to make the circulation experience more engaging.
