This project is envisioned to accommodate a branch building of  KSC Bank Kochi, one of the oldest and prestigious bank with a great legacy and actively operating Class 1-special grade Cooperative Bank in Kerala, INDIA. The bank is central to the activities of the community living in the group of Islands in the area. It plays a major role in rural Social activities like organic farming and marketing of farm products.

The building was planned to accommodate not just a convenient banking facility but also a community hall for social gathering at the first floor. In planning, the ground floor consist of the functioning bank facility and an outlet to market their agricultural products .The building has become a major landmark to the area, with a unique outlook from the conventional language of Co-operative sector banks. 

Community participation was very vital to this project as the building stands a nodal point for the community. This is very evident in the pride the people of the region share with this building.

The building is two storeyed with possible expansion of another floor for future expansion. The long and wide continuous stair-way with intermediate landings has become an element of interactive space and the long vertical rails with wooden cladding adds to the feature.

The stair landing also showcase an amazing artwork featured on the wall done by a local artist from the community. The building has a perforated corton steel façade with glazed curtain wall together with the wooden ceiling and rustic cement finish. The building stands tall as a symbol for the communities hard work and hope.
