A temporary structure, built to assemble for travelling exhibitions, Linen Pavilion, at the very first glance, reflects fluidity and openness. Simplicity being a prevalent function, the design uses dangling of flags made up of linen, with their positions and formations giving rise to enclosure and spatiality.

An exemplary model, due to its adaptability to small floorspaces, and usage of economical material as well as cost of erection, the design suited requirement in three separate cities, and this in itself indicates established success.

Using a singular dominant material, that of the fabric, the spaces in and around the pavilion have been moulded and defined to emote variation and comfort. The fabric flags aid in forming vistas and creating spatial sequences, and become an important element in the circulation routes of the people around the pavilion.

The structural composition involves suspension of the fabric flags on closely-set stainless steel wires, and they are subsequently arranged in layers, and assembled to represent larger volume, and therefore, the enhanced volumes define the spaces in the interiors. Along the edge, the remaining fabric forms into an encompassing enclosure, exuding comforting vibes.
