Located at Rustomjee Elements in Mumbai on the 15th floor, the home of Ritesh and Priyanka Arora and their young son Vedant has a beautiful sea view with lots of greenery. Ritesh and Priyanka’s brief was very clear – they wanted a very open and uncluttered look and at the same time they wanted touches of glamour and luxury.

As this is a double apartment with two living rooms being connected, the living space was massive. We left the living space open and have three separate sections – the informal living space, the dining space and the formal living and bar space. The kitchen has been kept completely open and is connected to the informal living room, just separated by glass sliding doors from Rimadesio.

The left wing of the house has the master suite where we have kept the bathroom fully open as part of the bedroom. The master bathroom is entirely in black vis –a –vis the light tone of rest of the house and is screened off by sliding doors, again from Rimadesio. In fact we ended up using these doors for the playroom and study as well so they become quite a defining factor of the house. Adjoining the master suite is Vedant’s bedroom. The right wing of the house contains two family bedrooms and a study.

The home has Italian furniture mainly from Minotti, Georgetti and Longhi. The art and accessories were handpicked by us from various places. The wall facing the entrance has been adorned with Visionnaire’s iconic red tree art work with a matching console. The space turned out almost exactly as visualized, it has a very definite pattern of luxury but in a very understated and livable way.
