Studying from Architectural Association School of Architecture London, our founders at MakeSpace Architects moved to India, with a hope to make a difference in the conventional practices of the time. Bringing to practice, their studies and exposure from the architectural capital of the world. London taught them the importance of technology in architecture clubbed with global awareness and contextual importance.

The Makespace Architects studio is an embodiment of minimal thought process, with an inception to the experimental architecture. An innovative and bespoke workspace- a place of free creativity and imagination for its team members. The idea was to generate an open, luminous and connected workspace that picks up on strong architectural lines and provides continuity through the space.

” A contemporary cube with a parametric paradigm” is the conceptual thought where we have played with space, through a Minimalistic approach and with the idea of “Less is more”. Simplified visual compositions, made the ambience fluidic, ecstatic and collaborative, says the architect.

The reception.

The discussion area incorporates an idea of design where the contemporary conventional architecture meets the future of parametric.

The cabins inherits a monochrome approach using shades of grey of leathers ranging from Napa grey to Indian grey.

The parametric Wall.

The workstation area, plays with axial lines both vertically and horizontally, achieving a sense of symmetry in plan and equilibrium in materiality.

Truly experimental in its materiality, Porosity and Style, the studio inherits the subtlety of contemporary interiors using shades of grey and retaining the materiality of natural material. The Studio is a cumulation of Futuristic thought process with a conventional outreach. Heeding to a philosophy that architecture can be more spontaneous and intuitive than the stereotypical. It complies to thinking from a micro level (User and Objects Interaction) to macro level (aesthetical synchronization of interior to exterior).

Studio’s intention was to relate to the contemporary understanding of architecture, by not using stereotypical methods or a limiting adherence to the iconography of the convention. But rather by developing and reflecting on a more nuanced understanding on how technology can sync in with the creativity.

The reading corner in the cabin.

The cabin breaks the monotonous nature of concrete and contrast with natural finishes , keeping the materiality subtle and differentiated.

The floating partition between the cabins finished with concrete and highlighted with 3D cut stone.

The discussion area as an idea box.

The Studio’s entire concept rides on the philosophy of” A contemporary cube with a parametric paradigm.
