“Simplicity is the Ultimate form of sophistication”- Leonardo da Vinci.

We imbibe the quote thoroughly. At Val Atelier’s core lies the principles of minimalism and it is represented in each one of our projects, With the agenda set, the right design process began. The first step was the design layouts, as firm believers in minimalism we wanted the space to be very spacious and free of clutter. Minimalism, Natural material, abundant light, and earthy textures were the key points we kept in mind to build the project further We opted for wooden flooring and large windows to let ample of light inside the office. Colors were chosen from our trusty neutral color pallet. Detailing is very crucial, we looked at each nook and corner with an eye of perfection, especially the walls. We think of our walls as our largest canvas, we used fabric paneling, and wooden rafters to enhance the walls to portray our art.

For the ceiling, we wanted a material that ticked the following to boxes, i.e. something special and something that looked sought after looks wise and the answer was cement boards. We used Gorgeous Georgian sliding-on windows and glass doors to make the space look chic and elegant. The Interiors were developed keeping in mind 2 factor’s chic and comfortable space. We wanted space that is very welcoming yet exuberating elegance. For the formal reception area, we choose a very special abstractly shaped sofa placed on the beautiful geometrical knitted rug and adorned with very minimal and sleek accessories. We placed a Triangular coffee table and triangular floor lamp to compliment the pebble-shaped sofa. We created an open, airy, comfortable space for the Principal architect’s office, with a welcoming vibe. The angular desk table was the first furniture piece we choose for the office, adorned with an angular pendant light. We accessorized the fluted wooden console table with décor accessories in a neutral color pallet. A tinge of color was added through with the mauve (rhubarb) colored sofa. To spruce up the space further, we used the beautiful jute rug with black and brown hints. A round coffee table and an hourglass side table enriched the glam quota. Well for us no project is complete without a plant in it, so we brought it our Fiddle leaf fig tree. Our conference room was designed keeping in mind, to break free from official formal rooms.

We kept it cozy and welcoming so as to ensure our clientele feels comfortable, invited and warm in the space. We used rattan chairs and a wide discussion table in the conference room. The black rattan chair acts as a beautiful contrast against a neutral backdrop. We love layering materials especially when we are working with the same color shades in one room. For example - like in our conference room we choose natural textured fabric panels on the wall, and wooden flooring, further we complimented it with a large off-white – beige-colored wooden table and we also used rattan chairs. We love the mix of materials in our office. We have dedicated material walls in our conference room that is a visual treat. Each and every member in the team feels like they are in a candy shop, as architects and interior designers we love our materials. The space was designed to make the raw materials accessible in one place and enhance the creativity of the team members. Lastly, it was great fun and a pleasure to create an office space that is very chic, comforting, and uplifting and now we look forward to exploring many more facets of our beloved office.
