The client came to the design team with a specific vision for their small working space - they wanted a minimalistic workstation with ample lighting, minimum furniture, and a unique outlook. The team took this vision and worked on a concept that focused on a minimum color palette, sleek furniture designs, and more circulation space. This space was designed for an onsite construction company, where only the owners and their marketing staff would be working until their proposed site was completed

Clean line, reductive designs, uncluttered spaces, monochromatic colors, simplicity, and the concept of "less is more" were all considered when designing this space. The team understood that achieving a resolved minimalist interior design was difficult and required deliberate planning, beyond just choosing a few pieces of furniture for a white backdrop. This is because a poorly executed minimalist design can leave a space feeling cold, sparse, and unlived-in. However, a well-executed minimalist design can create a serene, simple beauty that has a timeless aesthetic.

The space the team had to work with was 500 square feet. With this in mind, the team focused on creating furniture modules that accommodated all the utility for storage and other office use. The reception area needed a waiting area and staff seating, as well as a meeting table. The team decided to merge both functions into one space and designed a wooden log table with sleek metal legs. For the main cabin, an office table and storage were required, so the team designed a table using metal legs that gave a sleek look. The client also requested a partition for privacy, but the team had to maintain natural light traveling through the entire space. Hence, they used aluminium members for partition members with a given slope in the ceiling that took a triangular shape from the top.

Material palette and color palette go hand in hand when designing any space. However, if the space is divided into more legible parts, more materials can give a more chic look. For this workspace, the team narrowed down the palette with only 3-4 materials and one vibrant shade with other subordinating colours. They decided on stone-effect flooring and rustic stucco-textured walls to highlight the black elements in the space. Beige and black were the major colours chosen for the space. The sloping the slab with a triangular partition is the usp of the project visually, giving the office a chic look.

Minimalism and functionality go hand in hand. A minimalist-designed space incorporates an open floor plan, lots of light, and simple line furnishings that are well-built and comfortable. The team designed this space with these principles in mind, creating a soothing and inviting space with a timeless aesthetic.

In summary, the design team created a minimalist workspace that incorporated ample lighting, minimum furniture designs, and more circulation space resulted in a resolved minimalist interior design that was both serene and simple. They created furniture modules that accommodated all the necessary storage and office use, merged both the waiting area and staff seating with a meeting table, and designed a table using metal legs for a sleek look. The aluminium partition members with a given slope in the ceiling took a triangular shape from the top, maintaining natural light traveling through the entire space. The team's narrowed-down palette of 3-4 materials and one vibrant shade with other subordinating colours, with stone-effect flooring and rustic stucco-textured walls, highlighted the black elements in the space, with beige and black as the major colours. The result was a chic and timeless aesthetic that achieved the client's vision for their workspace.
