As the apartment dates to 2004, many challenges in this renovation project arose from the apartment’s current design. Some of these challenges are lower ceiling heights, limited openings, and smaller bathrooms that catered only to the needs but not desires. The task was to ring in the new keeping intact its old essence.

Most of the material choices were driven by the client’s desire for European interiors. Another unusual but unique request from the client’s side was to ensure that there should be no wood seen as a material in this project. This appeared to be yet another challenge at first but added to the uniqueness and timelessness of the design.

In an era dominated by social media, the design industry has become more trends driven. Thus, the value of timelessness lies in classic and long-lasting materials where the design will rarely become a thing of the past. Hence, materials like Statuario, and brass along with neutral and accent colors were used to bring out the theme 'Timeless'.

Moving on to the details, Jharokas were introduced as design elements with a modern outlook in the - Daughter’s bedroom which is an extension of her personality where the little teenager can look out and aspire her future goals, while in the Master bedroom it serves as an escape for the couple from the day-to-day busy schedule.

It is said that 'First Impression is the Last Impression'. Apt choice of materials like Statuario and colours like plain but stark white shades used in the living area make it look magnanimous and leave a long-lasting impression on the guests. Black fabrication has been diligently used at specific places to bring out a striking contrast against the white backdrop.

The dining area has its table at its center standing out against a stark white backdrop enhancing the overall contrast of the space; adding to its charm. The wash basin, carved into the White Italian marble, blends with the space, transforming a necessity into a luxury.

In a vertical habitat, to be in touch with nature, lush greenery has been introduced in the Bathrooms to wash off the stress with a balm of serenity.

The indoor arena of the Parent’s bedroom has been extended with a balcony which serves as a place to rejuvenate where the elderlies can peacefully sip their morning tea. Subtle but powerful shades used in this space have the power to uplift someone's mood due to their appeasing influence.

The bold blue shades used in this space, not only reflect the liveliness of the child's nature but also evoke feelings of contentment, spaciousness, and comfort. Customized design elements are included for both study and play, thus keeping the little one busy.

A custom-made Modern Tulsi Mancha has been carved out of Statuario adding to its divine charm and purity.

Design needs and tastes of every age group residing in this apartment have been catered to; be it a child, a teenager, a middle-aged couple, or an elderly couple. We hope that this project sine tempore should speak of its time and yearn for timelessness
