The entire space was divided into distinct zones, each reflecting a specific aspect of skin anatomy and physiology. Upon entry one is welcomed onto a vast reception area with curved beige walls and mauve seating spaces for the waiting patients. Two access ways are connected to the reception- one to a passageway that leads to the rest of the treatment rooms and second one leads to the doctors room . These passageways are interconnected allowing the doctor to directly visit the treatment rooms without passing through the main reception area. In addition to the consultation room and treatment rooms, a store, a pantry area and a toilet space was provided which could be accessed from the main curved passageway.
1. Reception Area: "The Epidermis" – a welcoming space with a warm, beige color scheme and mauve accents. Seating spaces with smooth, curved structure evokes the natural contours of the human body. Wall punctures were given on the walls that narrate the story of natural skin with textures and bumps.
2. Consultation Room: "The Dermis" – intimate, calming spaces with soothing melanin shades, representing the skin's underlying structures. The consulting bed space was designed as an elevated platform with wooden flooring.
3. Treatment Rooms: "The Hypodermis" – sleek, modern spaces with a focus on functionality and hygiene, featuring neutral tones and smooth surfaces.

All the materials and textures used in this project were chosen carefully and in line with the concept. The arched cane sandwiched doors were used to represent the porosity of the skin barrier. A translucent partition wall with glass blocks was provided in the reception area representing skin cells and also letting in sufficient light for the space. Micro cement was used for flooring to give off the raw and natural texture finish reflecting the skin textures. Soft and supple materials were used for seating and upholstery, mimicking the gentle, pliable nature of skin.
Skin stories is a skin clinic that embodies the beauty and diversity of human skin. By incorporating a thoughtful design narrative, they aimed to create a unique and welcoming space that promotes skin health, wellness, and self-acceptance.
