The project, located in a developing area of Noida, is a dream home designed for an NRI client envisioning a serene yet modern retreat for their eventual return to India. The design embodies minimalism, raw aesthetics, and functionality, balancing contemporary elements with understated charm. The client desired an elevation that exudes a matte, non-glossy finish, evoking a sense of warmth without appearing dull. This vision materialized through the use of exposed brickwork, wooden elements, and thoughtful design features like irregular windows, a wooden balcony door, a striking main gate, and ambient lighting on the boundary wall. The color palette of red, grey, and wood further enhances the elevation's natural character.

The residence is thoughtfully planned across three levels. The stilt floor houses a servant room and parking, adhering to local bye-laws. The first floor is the main living area, featuring an open-plan layout with a living room, dining area, kitchen, and two bedrooms. The plot, rectangular and open only from the front, necessitated a design that ensured privacy while allowing ample light and ventilation. To achieve this, bay windows and open-to-sky spaces were incorporated, adding an element of openness and connectivity with nature.

The interiors reflect the client's minimalist aspirations, characterized by a soothing palette of grey and wooden tones accented with blue and green. These elements create a calming and inviting atmosphere. The design process adhered to the principle of "function follows form," beginning with functional planning and evolving into a basic rectangular form that complements the plot's geometry. The final design features exposed brickwork with two distinct patterns, wooden details, and boxed projected windows, offering a harmonious blend of simplicity and refinement. A 3D physical model was also crafted to refine the design and ensure its alignment with the client's vision.
