The ONER House by Spazio Interiors

Just as the name suggests, The ONER House is one of our remarkable endeavors of turning the new house into a forever home. Placed in Kolkata, the 2000sq ft space is delicately weaved to help the owners experience both the wonders and simplicity of life.

 

The ONER house opens into a vast living room with open dining and an in-house vertical garden. The challenge of merging two separate apartments into one led to our creation of the big round seating area at the center of the living room. The big blue circle hides the two center columns, which otherwise looked odd, being situated right in the middle. It is interesting to see how colors can play such a vivid role in completely altering the illusion of the place. The amalgamation of blue center and in-house green balcony, amidst the subtleness of soft-white walls, hit the eyes in the right spots. Urban living comes with limiting balcony spaces and low ceiling heights. Hence, a successful interplay of white marbles, green walls, and extensive welcoming of natural light helped us manifest an area that looked spacious and earthy. Natural light and fresh air have always been our delight. Our vertical garden stands as a modern wall sheathing the indoor space. The white Indian marble inlay reflects the light making the home look bigger and warmer. We aimed to build a home so pleasing and comfortable that the moment you set foot in, you at once feel in sync with yourself. 

 

The ONER House is our wonder as we completed it within a short span of six months. The six months was a rigorous period of brainstorming and experimenting with unleashing our creativity in the best way possible. All it takes is that one statement creation to make your decor stand out. For us, it was our big blue center seating and our very Indian 'jhula'. The marriage of these two elements led to the ecstatic merger of modern with traditional living—the wooden dining chairs with high backs catered to the traditional orientation of the decor. At the same time, the super spacious and contemporary kitchen emphasized the modern face. The use of flexible lighting with multiple colors can practically recreate the entire house according to the particular mood- intimate to family-like. The ONER House is one a kind. It is a child's and an adult's delight alike.
