Located in the idyllic town of Kollam, the contemporary residence known as "Wovenearth" stands as a testament to the harmonious integration of design and nature. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this residence is a breathtaking embodiment of the seamless coexistence of modern aesthetics in the vibrant tropical climate of Kerala..

The project's unique design elements take inspiration from the tropical climate of the region. The graceful curvature of the building's edges not only adds an artistic touch but also serves as a functional aspect, allowing for the smooth flow of air and enhancing natural ventilation. The west facade, cleverly designed as a pseudo wall, acts as a barrier against the climate's challenges, shielding the interiors from the harsh sun while embracing the gentle coastal breeze.

Informed by the local heritage, the use of laterite as a prominent material resonates with the essence of tropical narrative. The porosity of laterite is ingeniously harnessed for passive cooling, as it absorbs the ambient heat and releases it gradually, maintaining an agreeable indoor temperature.

Woven Earth presents a subtle design language that seamlessly melds with its surroundings. The mirrored butterfly plan not only creates a striking visual impact but also serves as a practical arrangement to optimize sunlight and airflow. The carefully curated palette of plants adds vibrancy to the space, catering to the preferences of diverse age groups and fostering a sense of unity with the environment.
