Designing a residence that accommodates four generations under one roof is an exploration of balance — between timelessness and modernity, tradition and aspiration, function and emotion. This 6BHK home was reimagined into a thoughtfully curated 4BHK, prioritizing openness and individuality, while retaining the essence of togetherness.

At its heart, the home celebrates multi-generational living. Spaces are crafted to resonate with diverse age groups — from great grandmother to great grand daughter, there was a need for comfort and familiarity, to the vibrant energy of an 18-year-old granddaughter embracing her future. Materiality plays a pivotal role here: marble brings permanence, metallic sheets add a contemporary sheen, and PU finishes contribute to a sleek, understated charm.

Living room of A Home of Crafted Experiences by A.L.F.T

Spirituality is seamlessly woven in — a compact temple finds home in a niche, visible yet unobtrusive, a quiet anchor of faith within daily life. The living space is bound together through an intentional design gesture: a flushed wall surface that unifies and flows, while discreet interventions like a crafted bar and curated artifacts in the corners add layers of personality. The ceiling height, thoughtfully minimized, enhances floor-to-floor proportion, creating intimacy without closing the space.

The true pause point of the house lies in the large balcony. Designed as an outdoor extension of the living area, it accommodates a swing corner — a spot for conversations, solitude, or simply watching the day go by.

Each bedroom has its own language. The son’s den embodies youthful spirit, complete with wooden flooring and a snug corner for his PlayStation — a retreat carved out within his private world. The daughter’s bedroom softens the geometry of the plan, with arches and gentle contours lending it a graceful femininity.

Grandmother's Bedroom of A Home of Crafted Experiences by A.L.F.T

The grandmother’s room is deliberately timeless, stripped of excess, relying on subtle hues and simple details that allow memory and comfort to take precedence. The master suite combines elegance with utility — metal accents enrich the space, while a dedicated study and walk-in wardrobe ensure practicality without compromise.
