Designed for a young cancer specialist doctor based in Indore, this residence was envisioned as a sanctuary, an antidote to long, emotionally demanding workdays. The brief called for a warm, calming, and aspirational dream home that blends modern contemporary design with emotional depth and cultural grounding.

At the heart of the home lies a serene living space conceived as a place of mindfulness and quiet retreat. The defining feature of this area is a thoughtfully integrated Natraj mural, positioned on the main accent wall visible from the entrance. Acting as both a spiritual and visual anchor, the mural introduces movement, rhythm, and meaning while remaining seamlessly aligned with the home’s modern aesthetic. Rather than overpowering the space, it adds a soulful layer that grounds the overall design narrative.

The interiors follow a vibrant yet earthy colour palette, combining soft peaches, warm neutrals, and grounded tones to maintain harmony across spaces. Clean lines, subtle textures, and balanced compositions create an environment that feels sophisticated yet emotionally comforting.

The living, dining, and mural wall were designed as a single flowing zone, unified through symmetry, proportion, and layered lighting. Architectural details such as French-style mouldings and structured compositions introduce rhythm and calm, enhancing the sense of order and elegance throughout the home.

Each of the three bedrooms carries a distinct theme, expressed through varied colour stories, textures, and lighting moods, while maintaining a cohesive design language. The false ceiling design plays a key role across spaces—treated as a visual element rather than a mere functional layer—using modern textures, clean geometric patterns, and indirect lighting to elevate ambience.

The entrance sets the tone with customised Indian traditional wallpapers, accented with peach and earthy hues, creating a warm and inviting first impression that beautifully bridges tradition and contemporary living.
