Bhanu Niwas is a 9,060 sq.ft. private residence in Ahmedabad, envisioned by STUDiO ANAND PATEL ARCHITECTS as a contemporary Indian home where minimalism meets tactile warmth. Designed for a family that values natural light, refined living, and a strong connection to the landscape, the house celebrates thoughtful detailing, a refined material palette, and carefully orchestrated lighting to create spaces that are sophisticated, welcoming, and deeply personal, transforming daily living into an experience of harmony and quiet luxury.

Set on a street-facing facade presents a refined play of geometry and texture. Clean white and beige planes are offset by vertical wooden fins and deep grey framing, while subtle recessed lighting highlights textured stone cladding. A cantilevered timber canopy hovers over floating grey marble steps edged with soft amber lights, guiding visitors toward a solid wooden door set against patterned stone inlays. This carefully layered entry sequence sets the tone for the restrained elegance that unfolds inside.

The interiors reveal a warm, light-filled spatial journey where stone, wood, and brushed metal create poised contemporary elegance. Sleek grey marble floors with soft veining reflect natural light, while timber-lined portals frame each transition. A jewel-like puja space, enclosed by slender metal-framed glass doors, features a hand-carved golden altar set against a delicate floral backdrop, offering a spiritual pause within the modern envelope. Anchoring the core, a sculptural staircase with floating stone treads and concealed lighting rises through a double-height volume. Vertical timber slats filter daylight, casting shifting shadows and creating a serene, meditative atmosphere.
