Casa Neeru is a thoughtfully designed 5BHK row-house bungalow interior project located in a serene residential society in Nanded, Maharashtra. Set amidst a quiet grid of pre-constructed row houses developed by the society, the residence enjoys the advantage of structural uniformity, which allowed Curated Spaces Studio to focus deeply on interior spatial transformation and material articulation.

The client—a Chartered Accountant with a deep passion for music—approached us with a clear vision: they sought a home that balanced warmth, function, and personality, with distinct experiences for each space. Our design solution began by engaging with the family’s day-to-day routines, aspirations, and personal aesthetics. Functionality guided every decision; materiality brought it to life.

A consistent yet curated palette runs through the house, each space embracing its own identity. The living room is wrapped in soft wood tones and neutral textures, anchored by custom-built furniture that prioritizes comfort and flow. The adjacent mandir, partially enclosed in a beautifully crafted wooden partition, creates both separation and sanctity.

The kitchen and dining are compact yet efficient, with tiled backsplashes, solid counters, and functional cabinetry that extend into a dining niche. On the terrace, a cozy gazebo flanked by a kitchenette transforms into a perfect hosting zone, merging leisure and utility.

The bedrooms are conceived as personal sanctuaries. The master bedroom on the second floor boasts a calm, textured aesthetic with a walk-in wardrobe featuring wallpaper-finished shutters that are easily cleanable—highlighting the balance between material finish and practicality. The parents’ bedroom also includes a walk-in wardrobe and adopts a slightly more muted palette, lending it a restful character. The daughter’s room is playful and efficient, designed with a low-height bed that includes built-in storage and an adjacent study table.

One of the most versatile spaces in the home is the music/office room, a hybrid zone that doubles as a guest room thanks to a concealed Murphy bed. This room was key in addressing the client’s love for music without sacrificing function—allowing for both focused work and creative expression.

The biggest challenge was working within the constraints of the society’s pre-defined structural layout. We couldn’t alter walls, windows, or plumbing drastically, so our solutions relied heavily on strategic zoning, furniture layouts, and custom carpentry to achieve spatial coherence and comfort.

Principal materials used across the home include natural wood veneers, PU-finished and laminate shutters, printed wallpapers, vitrified and patterned tiles, and metal accents. These were chosen not only for their visual warmth but also for durability and maintenance.Each floor was carefully configured to align with the family’s lifestyle: private zones above, public and semi-public zones below. Our aim was to allow each room to breathe—visually, functionally, and emotionally.

In essence, Casa Neeru by Curated Spaces Studio is a reflection of refined simplicity. Every detail—from the tactile wardrobe surfaces to the acoustically sensitive music room—was designed to support how the family lives, works, celebrates, and rests. The result is a home that feels intuitive, grounded, and wholly personal.
