A farmhouse made in the vernacular style with traditional Indian architectural elements in a modern setting. A balanced mix of traditional design philosophy with modern technology. It is a unique and beautiful structure that blends the best of both worlds. It is built to give good access to nature and enhance the wellbeing of the users through carefully considered elements of physical, emotional, intellectual and social wellbeing.

It would be a place where people could come to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of their surroundings. The structure is also designed using simulation software to predict and justify the design philosophy. It ensures energy efficiency, water efficiency and resource efficiency, along with improving the indoor environment quality.

This house showcases the power of purposeful spatial design and planning, to deliver functionality and charm. Entire house was designed keeping in mind a typical Indian Family with multiple generations that love spending time together. The architecture, finishes and features of the space also take into consideration the relationship between the occupant's wellbeing and the impact of the built environment. It holistically addresses physical, emotional, intellectual and social wellbeing of the occupants and works towards enhancing the quality of life.

Designed as an environment friendly structure, the farmhouse displays energy efficiency, water efficiency and use of low emitting and natural materials. The space has been conceptualized based on climate analysis and considering the impact of the design on occupant perception and behavior. 

Walls were deliberately left plain so the flooring and the Coffer slab roof could act as the focal points, Internal courtyards to bring nature inside from each space, play with daylight to add character to the interior spaces with Strategically placed Skylights to Minimize use of artificial lighting during the day.

Old wooden columns, balusters, capitals etc. sourced from village houses to give a more traditional feel. Phytoremediation plant to treat grey and black water. Phytoremediation is a recently developed technology that offers a cost-effective solution by using plants, and associated soil microbes, to reduce the content, or toxic effects, of contaminants in the environment.
