Nestled in the serene village of Tukwada in Vapi, Gujarat, lies a stunning pocket of tranquillity known as Avadh Utopia. This exclusive expansive enclave of approximately 1000 bungalows features lush green spaces, a shimmering water body and a jogging track- all seamlessly integrated with three expansive clubhouses offering a plethora of amenities. Among these architectural gems is a cluster of 17 bungalows out of which one residential bungalow stands out- a 7,000 sq. ft. masterpiece that embodies the perfect blend of contemporary design and functional elegance.

Being a designer and orchestrating a house for his own self and family, this architectural marvel was a vision realized over two years of meticulous planning and flawless execution. The bungalow, originally designed as a 5BHK, was transformed into a spacious 7BHK residence to accommodate a family of six, whose roots lie deep in the construction business. This transformation included three master bedrooms, a room for his grandmother, two guest bedrooms and a state-of-the-art home theatre, aligning with the family's requirement for grandeur and expansiveness.

Building a dream home in a community-setting posed unique design challenges, especially with restrictions from the builders. However, the family's trust in their own son being the designer himself as well as a clear vision of their dream home enabled him and his team to navigate these obstacles effectively. Selecting artifacts, paintings, crockery and rugs 8 to 10 months prior to moving in, ensured that every detail was diligently planned and implemented.

The design brief was straightforward yet ambitious: create a huge, barrier-free space that exudes opulence and timeless sophistication. The material palette chosen- Italian stone, P.U. and Veneer- reflects a commitment to quality and style. The interiors speak volumes of contemporary aesthetics, with no traditional elements, favouring modern themes and new colour palettes.

To fulfil his parents' desire for openness and airy spaces, the design incorporated numerous floor-to-ceiling windows, flooding the house with natural light and giving a front-row seat to the greenery and nature surrounding the bungalow. Double-height spaces further enhance the sense of extensiveness, with one part of the existing double-height area retained and another cleverly converted into two additional bedrooms. The strategic placement of windows and the inclusion of plantations both in the backyard and alongside the living room ensure a seamless connection between the indoors and outdoors, in-sync with nature.

Given the family's active social life, the bungalow is designed to cater to numerous guests. The expansive living area can comfortably serve a large number of visitors, making it perfect for their social gatherings. The inclusion of two kitchens- an outdoor kitchen and a main kitchen- facilitates large-scale entertaining. The bungalow also features a beautifully designed swimming pool, an oasis of relaxation and recreation. The pool is equipped with sophisticated lighting and a waterfall feature, creating a serene ambiance perfect for both day and night. Additionally, an in-house Tupperware display store uplifts his mother's profession as one of the major distributors of the brand, blending functionality with personal significance and use.

The mandir space reflects a harmonious blend of traditional devotion and contemporary luxury. The design showcases metallic PU finish, lending it a soft sheen and sophisticated presence while keeping the ambiance serene and reflective.

The highlight feature is the delicate use of mosaic tiles, artfully arranged to form a subtle, radiant backdrop that shimmers under ambient lighting, creating a divine aura.

The mandir is anchored by hand-carved white marble idols, sourced directly from Rajasthan. The pristine white of the marble idols stands in calming contrast to the warm metallic hues, drawing the eye and heart towards the spiritual center of the space.

This bedroom is a celebration of refined European charm and intimate comfort, anchored by blue French-style wall panelling and classic wainscoting. The subtle interplay of moldings and the muted blue palette creates a sense of depth, elegance, and calm—transforming the room into a tranquil retreat.

A standout feature is the integrated library reading corner, thoughtfully carved out to balance the aesthetic appeal with functional luxury. Framed by custom shelving and bathed in soft lighting, a tufted couch sits invitingly, offering the perfect spot for unwinding with a book or enjoying a quiet morning coffee.

This guest bedroom oozes understated luxury with a classic twist. The bedback is adorned with a wall panelling overlaid with vertically striped wallpaper, creating a space that feels both refined and welcoming. The vertical lines draw the eye upward, adding height and a sense of spaciousness to the room, while offering a gentle rhythm.

A standout design element is the distinctive ceiling, which is flat at the center and gently sloped on the sides, clad in rich natural veneer. This sculptural ceiling treatment not only adds warmth and dimension but also draws the eye upward, enhancing the sense of space.

The furniture palette introduces a deep green upholstered bed and matching TV console, bringing in a refreshing, earthy contrast against the neutral shell of the room.

The focal point of the space is a statement wine-colored wall panelling which instantly adds depth, richness, and a sense of warmth to the room. This bold hue is elegantly balanced by lighter surrounding tones, creating a space with soft finishes, clean lines and ample natural as well as ambient lighting that evokes a sense of calm and clarity.

This bedroom stands out as a bold artistic expression, a dramatic wall mural forms the soul of the room—initially sculpted in stone and later hand-painted to add depth, texture, and a layered narrative. It sets an immersive backdrop that evokes a gallery-like presence within a domestic space.

The bed is enveloped in curved wall panelling, offering both visual fluidity and a cocoon-like sense of comfort. This sculptural design detail softens the room’s geometry while framing the sleeping area as a focal retreat.

Adding a vibrant pop of color, statement orange armchairs sit stylishly —injecting energy and offering a comfortable nook for conversation. A multipurpose TV area anchors the opposite end of the room, cleverly integrated with a concealed gaming unit behind the screen. This setup allows for seamless transitions between entertainment and relaxation.
