For the entry room of the house, we chose a warm, red earthy hue for the walls to create an inviting and grounded atmosphere. This rich, natural colour reflects the local landscape and adds a sense of warmth and vibrancy as soon as one steps inside. Paired with simple, rustic furnishings and subtle colonial accents, the red earthy tone enhances the overall earthy aesthetic of the home, seamlessly blending tradition with contemporary comfort. It also sets the tone for the rest of the house, welcoming visitors with a bold yet warm statement that resonates with the house’s connection to nature.

The living room is designed in a traditional Goan style, featuring a high, sloping ceiling that enhances the sense of space. A divider screen crafted from oyster shells, inspired by the design of old Goan windows, adds a natural, coastal touch while providing privacy and visual interest. Colonial-style furniture, with carved wood and elegant detailing, complements the overall aesthetic, evoking a timeless charm. The living room doors open seamlessly into a covered terrace, creating a fluid connection to the outdoor environment and making the space feel more integrated with nature. A classic ceiling chandelier provides ambient lighting, tying together the traditional elements into a warm, inviting space that celebrates Goan heritage.
The client's mother's saree was framed and displayed near the stairway, adding a personal and cultural touch to the space. The open kitchen was designed with simplicity and functionality in mind, featuring clean, streamlined lines. Wooden shutters were used for the under- counter cabinets, enhancing the warm, natural aesthetic. A wooden kitchen island with elegantly designed legs serves as a central workspace, complemented by brass hardware that adds a touch of sophistication. Granite was used for the kitchen counters and dado, providing durability and a polished finish. To ensure ample natural light and ventilation, windows were strategically placed on three sides, creating a bright and welcoming culinary space.

The dining room serves as a vital connector between the living space and the private sections of the house. It is thoughtfully positioned to offer picturesque views of the courtyard pool and lush lawn, enhancing the dining experience. An outside verandah extends from the dining area, providing an ideal setting for outdoor meals and gatherings. The dining table is customized with antique legs, adding a touch of vintage elegance, while colonial-style chairs and carefully sourced vintage lighting fixtures elevate the aesthetic, creating a charming and timeless dining environment.

The bedrooms feature a clean and minimal aesthetic, emphasizing simplicity and subtle elegance. The flooring is crafted from cemented flooring in a variety of muted colors, creating a warm yet understated foundation. The walls are kept pristine white, enhancing the sense of space and brightness.
The bedroom floors are carefully coordinated with the bathroom finishes, ensuring a seamless and cohesive look throughout. Colonial-style furniture, sourced from Cochin, adds a touch of timeless charm and craftsmanship to the interiors, blending traditional elegance with contemporary minimalism. For the second-floor bedrooms, window sitting areas have been incorporated. The roof is painted in a monochromatic black and white theme, tying the overall design together with a bold yet minimalist statement.
