Located amidst the agrarian fringes of Vijayawada, Ishaar by Addy’s Studio reinterprets the staycation typology through a lens of elemental brutalism, tactile materiality, and immersive spatial sequencing. This project is conceived not merely as a hospitality product but as an experiential landscape—a sequence of atmospheres carefully composed to stimulate the senses.

The approach is both ceremonial and grounding. A sharply angled corten steel gate pierces a backdrop of lime-washed grey surfaces, setting the tone for the narrative of raw honesty and contextual grounding. The entrance sequence is punctuated by auditory and thermal cues—a cascading water feature descends into a recessed pool, releasing both sound and cool microclimate into the surrounding space. The entry path, aligned to this visual datum, leads visitors into a sunken lounge that blurs the boundary between architecture and landscape.

The site planning adopts a linear strategy, stretching the built volume across a natural clearing while allowing the program to oscillate between enclosure and exposure. To the left of the axis lies an open event lawn with a built-in stage—accommodating up to 300 guests. The spatial edges are defined by low-rise landscaping and natural stone finishes, ensuring the architecture dissolves into the terrain.

Internally, the villa’s plan prioritizes permeability and tactility. The central living space is defined by a full-height glass wall framing three preserved trees—a deliberate move to retain the existing ecology and amplify the indoor-outdoor continuity. Above, a field of cloud-inspired pendant lights animates the ceiling plane, subtly echoing the external skyscape.

Three bedrooms are arranged in a zoned configuration: two guest suites and one master retreat. The master suite is articulated as a private sanctuary, with a transparent partition revealing an indoor plunge pool beneath a planted overhead canopy. Here, the shower is not just a fixture but an event—water cascading from concealed greenery mimics the experience of bathing beneath foliage.

Complementing the residential core are a series of curated outdoor programs: a 12-seater dining deck under a misting canopy, a firepit lounge, a children's play zone, and a billiards and bar lounge oriented towards the event lawn. Every spatial element is linked not by corridors but by textures, light, and temperature shifts.

Material expression remains consistent and authentic throughout: tandoor stone walkways, river-finished Kota stone flooring, corten accents, and custom rock lighting installations are deployed not for effect, but for sensorial continuity. Lighting design furthers this ethos—cloud formations indoors, floral lights in private zones, and rock-scape illumination in the landscape enhance both spatial legibility and ambiance.
