La Casa is is a 4bhk residence with built-up area of 4400 sq. ft. fully spanish-style residence, conceived aas a comtmporary interpretation of traditional spansish architecture. Thoughtfully adapted to the tropical climatic conditions of Kerala. Located in Melattur, within the wind-influenced foothill region of the western ghats, the project responds directly to its serene semi-rural context, where prevailing winds flow uninterrupted across the site, enhancing thermal comfort and sensory experience.

The design is driven by climate, orientation and natural ventilation, using the site's open, wind-rich context to create comfortable, naturally cooled living spaces. The spatial planning derives from classical spanish domestic architecture, where a central core patio functions as the primary organizing element. This core patio acts as a thermal moderator, facilitating stack ventilation, corss ventilation, and controlled daylight penetration, thereby improving indoor comfort and reducing dependency on artificial colling.

This adopts an open-plan layout, including an open kitchen concept inspired by spanish homes. Each space is carefully detailed in a cohesive spanish theme, reflected through material selection, warm colour tones, shading elements, arched openings, traditional joineries, custom furniture, and interior detailing.
