Geometry is not just an element but a dynamic character in the story of this sprawling 8,000 sq. ft. Indore home, aptly named Liminal. The name reflects the home's concept of reimagining spaces as thresholds between energy and calm, excitement and relaxation. With every step, shapes and patterns rhythmically flow from one space to another, harmonising with an oceanic colour palette of blues and greys.

The client had a clear vision: each space should reflect its own unique character. This desire posed an intriguing challenge for the design team, as they worked to weave together a cohesive aesthetic that embraced the individuality of each area while fulfilling the client's varied needs. The material palette is carefully curated, woven from rich wood, sleek metal, natural stones, and locally sourced fabrics. The flooring is a rich blend of polished stone, handmade tiles, and warm wood, while the walls, adorned with textured lime plaster, become canvases for captivating artworks.

Nailing the modern chic comfort aesthetic, the home effortlessly makes 'artful rejuvenation' its top priority, as it transitions from one lounging area to another, each imbued with its unique mood and energy. The Drawing Room is a vibrant concoction of blue and yellow, as refreshing as a morning burst of caffeine. From there, one transitions into the Living Room—a serene dip in earthy browns and maroons that wraps around like a warm afternoon embrace. The Lounge, a striking black and white ensemble with bursts of yellow, beckons as the perfect evening retreat. Just beyond, the Terrace Lounge, a sanctuary of wood and natural elements, invites one to lose themselves in its rustic charm.

The bedrooms, each more spacious than the last, are colour-coded in refreshing hues and adorned with sleek walk-in wardrobes. The three Kids Bedrooms reflect the growing sensibilities of the children of the home: transitioning from playful pastel pink and blue to youthful olive greens to mature earthy pastels.

The Parent’s and Grandparent’s Rooms are luxurious sanctuaries, blending warm wood and sleek metal with green and blue while emphasising clean lines and modern aesthetics. The Guest Bedroom, a dynamic interlude, bursts with energy through its bold use of yellow and tan, contrasted by striking blacks.

At Liminal, geometry, colour, and materials come alive, each playing its part in creating a home
that's not just visually stunning but also deeply comforting.
