Nestled in the heart of Koregaon Park—one of Pune’s most premium and verdant neighbourhoods—Soléa is a 6bhk Garden Apartment situated within a quiet gated community. Surrounded by tree-lined streets and a mix of heritage bungalows and modern luxury apartments, the project enjoys both urban connectivity and serene privacy. The home is perched on an upper-level floor, allowing ample light and panoramic city views to filter into the living spaces.

The homeowners approached us with a clear aspiration: they wanted a warm, elevated, and effortlessly luxurious home that reflected their lifestyle—rooted in comfort but expansive in vision. Their brief was less about opulence and more about intentionality. They wanted spaces that could host and flow, yet hold room for personal quiet moments. Our role was to translate this into a soulful, layered design—visually light, highly functional, and tactile.

The narrative of Soléa unfolded through the idea of light as luxury. Every space was conceived to interact intimately with daylight. Earth-toned textures, open circulation, curated furniture pieces, and custom artisanal finishes came together to define the material palette. Inspirations ranged from Mediterranean openness to the poise of Wabi-Sabi minimalism, but always interpreted with a very Indian sensitivity to comfort and context.

One of the standout features of Soléa is the dual-sided walk-in wardrobe designed for the master suite. Rather than opting for a traditional enclosed closet, they conceptualized a fluid transitional zone—a wardrobe that not only serves both the homeowners but also visually anchors the flow between the sleeping and dressing areas.

This bespoke unit offers functionality on both sides—his and hers—while maintaining visual harmony. Its layout allows for increased storage, enhanced accessibility, and a sense of openness typically missing from wardrobe zones. The design also smartly conceals utility areas and creates a subtle sense of rhythm within the master bedroom suite. This element beautifully reflects our studio's approach: thoughtful functionality layered with quiet luxury.

One of the biggest challenges was working with the rigid structural grid of the original floor plate. They couldn’t move certain columns or beams, so the spatial zoning needed to be intelligently reimagined.

Soléa uses a refined blend of natural and engineered materials: Italian marble flooring grounds the social spaces, while oak veneer, lime plaster walls, hand-troweled textures, and brushed metal accents create richness without visual weight. Locally sourced stone and custom furniture by Viraaj By Andspaces were intentionally incorporated to support sustainable, small-scale production.

The spatial plan opens with a long entrance hallway that gradually unfolds into a vast living-dining, aligned to the home’s best daylight angles. Private bedrooms are pushed to the periphery, each with their own unique character but connected through a common design language. A key element was ensuring visual permeability across zones while allowing for tactile transitions using material breaks and ceiling planes.
