Tucked away amidst the verdant lanes of Indiranagar’s peaceful residential enclave lies Terra Gardens, the penthouse within the Pride Picassa Apartments. From its terrace, the eye is drawn across a sweeping green belt, offering a rare and tranquil vista at the heart of the city—a perfect backdrop for an evening spent sipping wine and watching a movie beneath the stars.

The clients, who come from a beautiful blend of diverse cultures, sought to create a sanctuary where simplicity and serenity could thrive. Their vision was clear: a home that embraces ease, a retreat where time with their children, friends, and family could be cherished—undisturbed by the hustle of the outdoors. With an emphasis on minimalism, their desire was for a space that radiates calm, where every corner invites relaxation. Here, life slows down. The noise fades. And, in the quiet joy of shared moments, their home becomes a true reflection of peace, connection, and effortless living.

To bring such a vision to life, they sculpted a lush terrace, conceived as a natural extension of this philosophy, where nature and design meet in harmonious balance. With every detail, they embraced the art of carving out frames—infusing the space with comfort and purpose, while honoring the core principles of design. What was once an empty terrace has been transformed into a green oasis. The terrace is thoughtfully divided into three distinct zones, each designed to offer its own unique experience.

At the heart of the space sits the gathering area, a spacious haven where laughter flows freely. Whether exchanging lively conversation, enjoying a cozy movie night, or sharing playful banter over a game of cricket or football, this inviting corner nurtures connection and joy. Adjacent to this, the functional space brings a sense of refined simplicity. A striking kitchen island, crafted to resemble a monolithic counter, serves as both a practical and aesthetic centerpiece. Made of sandalwood travertine onyx marble, its bold, natural grain patterns transform the kitchen into a work of art—earthy, beautiful, and timeless. At the far end of the terrace, the spa area offers a serene retreat. Here, an outdoor shower beckons, while a luxurious spa-tub and sun loungers provide the perfect setting for relaxation. This tranquil corner adds the finishing touch, evoking the feeling of a holiday home.

They embraced the artistry of the space, designing oversized pendant lights that cascade through the terrace garden, infusing a modern flair into the tropical backdrop. Their gentle glow weaves through the foliage, adding a contemporary touch to the lush, natural surroundings. Together, these zones create an inviting and harmonious space—an outdoor sanctuary designed for both comfort and style.

The design of the apartment follows the principle of “Less is more” with an open-plan layout and

minimalist interior details that highlight simplicity, guided by the principles of timeless functionality. The apartment embraces a monochromatic color palette, creating a sense of calm and unity throughout. At its core, a sculptural staircase crafted from Corten steel stands as a striking focal point, blending art with functionality. This space reflects the personality of its owners—refined, understated, and thoughtfully curated to its purest form. Here, luxury is not loud, but quietly refined, woven into every element to offer an enduring sense of elegance.
