An architectural expression of layered experiences and volumes, The Stack House is a residence designed to bring together function, aesthetics, and emotion. The project embraces a vertical design narrative—each floor layered like stacked blocks, giving the home its name and form. The elevation reflects this approach with a monochromatic palette, interspersed with textured stone finishes that flow seamlessly from walls to ceilings. This continuity of materiality not only lends visual harmony but also gives the structure a grounded, sculptural quality.

At the ground level, the spatial planning is driven by fluid movement and a strong connection to the central courtyard. The drawing room welcomes guests with a sense of openness, while the living and dining areas are arranged around the courtyard—fostering interaction and anchoring the heart of the home. This courtyard features a striking purple stone wall and a beautifully curated Pichhwai art installation, creating a soulful, contemplative corner that doubles as a conversation starter.

The kitchen sits prominently at the front of the house, ensuring accessibility while maintaining its visual separation from the dining area with a compact crockery unit. This thoughtful element acts as a soft divider—preserving openness while defining zones. Adjacent to this layout are two bedrooms: the parents’ room, designed for comfort and ease, and the master bedroom—a highlight of warmth and detailing.

The master bedroom, with its extended length, is thoughtfully divided into two functional zones using a half-height partition wall that doubles as a TV backdrop. As one enters, a cozy study area welcomes you, followed by a serene sleeping space beyond the partition. The materials used in this room echo the home's language of earthy richness—featuring natural wood and woven cane surfaces that bring texture, warmth, and tactility to the space. The interplay of these materials creates a calm, grounded environment perfect for rest and reflection.

Raw concrete ceilings run across the common areas of the ground floor, enhancing the earthy and minimalist tone of the home. The foyer introduces the home's character with an arched wall feature and a minimal console, acting as a soft transition from the outside world into the layered narrative within.

On the first floor, the story continues with three bedrooms—two guest rooms and an expansive daughter’s room. Her room is a dynamic and multifunctional space with generous floor area, layered seating, and a dedicated study nook. Arches, gentle colour accents, wooden finishes, and greys blend to create a youthful yet timeless aesthetic.

The Stack House is more than a residence—it’s a narrative of scale, texture, and purpose. It celebrates thoughtful zoning, natural materials, curated art, and volumes stacked in harmony with the lives they hold.
