These elements filter rather than block views, allowing intimacy and acoustic softness while preserving daylight, orientation and visual connection across the restaurant. The geometry of the vertical frames continues overhead into the ceiling bays, where curved cane panels, patterned inserts and suspended fabric baffles bring enclosure, lighting and circulation into a single compositional system.

Material choice reinforces this spatial logic. Terracotta contributes warmth and visual weight; muted teal gives depth to the seating line; dark timber-toned frames articulate thresholds; and natural cane introduces texture, permeability and filtered light. Patterned textile inserts form deliberate pauses within the repeated arches, while woven pendant lights and living greenery soften the architectural order at the scale of occupation. Regional character is expressed through craft, colour, rhythm and assembly rather than applied iconography.

The result is not a reduced version of the brand's earlier full-service interiors, but a distinct Express typology that preserves their dignity and sense of welcome.
