This project explores a refined approach to sensory-driven design, where the exterior surface and interior spaces feel naturally connected rather than treated as separate elements. The use of Pink Alaska Hydra Polished stone plays a defining role, acting as a continuous vertical surface that anchors the design. Its muted earthy tones and delicate veining bring a sense of calm solidity, while the vertical grooves introduce a gentle rhythm of light and shadow, especially within the double-height living areas.

At the centre of the home, a sculptural staircase becomes a key visual and spatial moment. White marble steps appear to float against the textured stone backdrop, creating a contrast between heaviness and lightness. Above, a cluster of globe pendants fills the vertical void, adding a soft, almost ethereal quality. This central feature quietly guides the transition from the more open, stone-dominated social spaces to the warmer, wood-lined private areas.

The design balances a clean, contemporary sensibility with subtle regional references. Elements like lotus-inspired wood inlays and jali-like patterns are woven in without feeling decorative or forced. Alongside timber ceilings, tactile fabrics, and polished marble surfaces, the palette creates a layered yet cohesive environment, one that feels current but not tied to a specific moment, allowing the materials and forms to speak for themselves over time.
