Located in the middle of Pekalongan City (a lot of new minimalist cafes and coffee shops are developing), this cafe is made with a different design approach. The tropical masculine concept is the main choice in designing this café to create a different impression from other cafes in the city.

There is an old building that we are trying to make a potential object of historical scenery for this new café. Between the old and new buildings, we separate them with a green corridor. The area is planted with flowering trees to create a different impression for the café in each season. This strategy was created so that the building has a different atmosphere that invites customers to come back in other seasons.

The cafe is made transparent in all directions, especially towards green corridors and old building objects so it has a good view inside the building. The use of glass material is needed to blend the inside and outside building to give a wider space impression.

Secondary skin is made around the building to block the sun from the east as well as the trees in the green belt. This uniquely impacts the shading results inside the building while minimizing incoming heat due to the glass material covering the inside.

The space in the building is made high enough and given a void so that this café feels more luxurious as well as a pathway for hot air to rise. Placing a spiral staircase in the void area makes the staircase a vocal point and reinforces the vertical path to the 2nd floor. The outdoor dining area is made more informal by using small tables and the staircase area in the garden can also be used as an area for socializing.

A firm and masculine impression is created through the selection of wood materials, dark colors, and monochrome furniture in buildings. Material colors tend towards dark colors, strengthening the atmosphere in the garden area while giving an intimate impression. Natural materials such as wood, marble, and other natural materials tend to be more elevated due to the choice of dark colors to be achieved in this café.
