Located in Bangalore, India, on a 40 × 60 sq. ft. site with a total built-up area of 8,000 sq. ft., the residence is envisioned as a refined architectural response to the city’s dense and often chaotic urban context. The design is conceived as a monolithic mass from which spaces are thoughtfully carved out, creating a series of sculpted voids that bring depth and character to the structure. These intentional subtractions are transformed into lush, landscaped pockets—inhabitable thresholds that mediate between the intimate interior environment and the vibrant external surroundings. Beyond serving as transitional zones, these green voids function as soft buffers, blurring the rigid edges of the built form, inviting natural light and ventilation, and seamlessly weaving nature back into the fabric of daily urban living.
