Given an opportunity to design a very personal space as an addition to the existing house, the project starts by exploring a volumetric expression for the home theater. The form of the space draws from the function clubbed with the desire to achieve a cinema experience in the woods. The envelope is made of nonplanar surfaces to add depth and to have an immersive feeling within the space. The vertical surfaces are articulated with staggered lights and the roof floats on top with a curved profile. The master curve defining the volume, the function, the project!

The roof form also draws from the acoustic performance. working closely with the AV consultant, the roof ensures there is no loss of sound quality. A midnight blue palette flows through the interiors in the home theater section. Multiple seating types are used to create a play in the plan in the otherwise monotonous seating arrangement of a conventional theater. The conventional recliners are surrounded by three different personalized seating systems defining the comfort of a theater in a house.

The attached bar takes a cue from the forest theme and compliments the home theater section's finesse with a bit of raw aesthetic. stone finish, solid wood, and boldness of the metal installments carves out a niche for itself within the project.
