NewFangled by Prayog Design Studio

Sahajanand Viha or NewFangled is Yash Vagashiya’s residence in Mota Varacha, Surat. Sonali Dakoria and Charmy Jariwala, along with the design team, Nikunj Dakoria and Nirav Jariwala of Prayog Design Studio (@prayogdesign) received a blank canvas to work with. The canvas in say measures a cool 2,500sqft.

The architect team reveals that Yash and his family required their home to reflect a modern yet subtle interior, with statement features and low maintenance materials. Taking us through the plan the team say, “The design intent for the space was to coin a cohesive style language that is functional and stylish. And to continue this same language of design throughout the apartment by adding pops of colours, groves and veneer.”

Marble is the predominant material used throughout the apartment. The living room adjoining the dining space is the heart of this home. This home is a celebration of a neutral colour palette, vibrant patterns, sensorial textures and it all colludes with the natural light that flows in.
