Designing for a plot with two side roads and a relatively compact size of 5.5 cents presented both challenges and opportunities that demanded meticulous architectural consideration. Despite the constraints, we seamlessly integrated a plethora of client requirements, including a home theatre, an expansive open-concept courtyard, a cozy patio, three bedrooms, a dedicated reading space, and a charming balcony, all within the confines of a 2100 square foot built-up area.

Navigating the spatial limitations, we prioritized efficient space utilization and strategic placement of each element to optimize functionality without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. The layout was carefully orchestrated to ensure fluid circulation and visual connectivity between different areas of the residence, fostering a sense of openness and cohesion.

Nestled within the bustling urban landscape of Trivandrum city, our design aimed to create a serene oasis infused with lush greenery to counteract the surrounding urban density. To achieve this, we strategically incorporated large, strategically positioned windows to maximize natural light intake and facilitate passive ventilation, enhancing indoor air quality and promoting a sense of connection with the outdoors.

The staircase design served as a striking architectural feature, not only facilitating vertical circulation but also doubling as a sculptural focal point that seamlessly integrated with the overall aesthetic language of the space. Additionally, the inclusion of Moroccan tiles added a touch of exotic flair, infusing the interior with character and visual interest while paying homage to the client's cultural preferences.

In essence, our design approach prioritized harmonizing functionality with aesthetic innovation, resulting in a residence that not only fulfills the diverse needs of its occupants but also serves as a testament to the transformative power of thoughtful architectural design within the constraints of urban living.
