A young couple reached out to interior designer Mounika Kodali of Beyond Spaces Design Studio to conceptualise the interiors of their 2,200 square feet apartment in Film Nagar, Hyderabad. The three bedroom home showcases a neoclassical design aesthetic and is evocative of a New York City loft. The light-filled residential design is a marriage between classic and contemporary. The sprawling apartment houses thoughtfully curated furniture and decor accessories. Most of the furniture and decor pieces were custom designed by Kodali. Moreover, this visually appealing and practical apartment exhibits a subdued colour scheme with pops of colour brought in through the furnishings. The material palette is earthy, with an abundance of wood and marble.

The apartment is the home of a creative couple—a fashion designer and a filmmaker. It features a master bedroom, a guest bedroom and a studio that comprises minimal wooden furniture and showcases artwork and framed photographs by the creative couple. The apartment exhibits Neoclassical design elements such as delicate wall panelling, grandeur of scale, and geometric inserts in the living room floor.

A unique green door with a custom designed stained glass window welcomes guests into a sprawling living, dining and balcony area. The living and dining rooms are connected in an open layout, making it an ideal space for hosting. The living room is an airy, light-filled space with minimalist, modern furniture, a muted colour palette. It opens into the balcony with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The colourful sofas add a chic touch to the home, and the decor accessories playfulness to the overall setup. A striking, modern chandelier hangs above a six-person dining table with a wooden tabletop. The kitchen is a bright space featuring sleek teal cabinets with ample storage, off-white countertops and state-of-the-art appliances.

The bedrooms are minimalist yet elegant. The primary bedroom has subtle, charming brown undertones and practical furniture.
