The café’s design primarily focuses on creating an ambiance that liberates the soul, allowing people to unwind, talk freely, and break away from the rigid, polished urban life. Also they carefully incorporated elements that stimulate the appetite- the prime function. To enhance this concept, they centered the design around an art theme, thoughtfully integrating through elements such as color, shape, patterns, texture, and form.

For the color palette, they chose warm hues known for their association with energy, excitement, and appetite stimulation. TANGERINE- was selected as the primary color for the theme. This bold shade is highlighted through a ‘naked architecture’ concept, which complements the art theme and is further emphasized by wall art and informal seating arrangements.

For the outdoor seating, they adopted a traditional Thinnai concept, inspired by communal gathering spots where people sit under large banyan trees or on house verandas to relax and converse for hours.

While designing the outdoor eating space, they adhered to the core theme. The Thinnai concept was implemented through a long L-shaped seating area surrounded by lush plants, which provide shade and create a revitalizing ambiance reminiscent of traditional thinnai settings. To highlight this space, they used a warm MUSTARD YELLOW hue, paired with brown leather chairs, wooden tables, and greenery, all of which beautifully complement the color scheme.
