Spanning approximately 19,090 sq. ft., this industrial facility reimagines the conventional workspace through a biophilic lens, positioning itself as a built environment that supports not only efficiency but also human existence. Conceived as a departure from the stereotypical “industrial box,” the project envisions a headquarters that functions as a living ecosystem—one where the rigidity of industry is softened by the fluidity of nature.

At its core, the design prioritizes well-being over mechanical performance, integrating greenery and natural light as fundamental elements rather than afterthoughts. The planning ensures a seamless dialogue between high-tech workspaces and restorative zones, fostering a balanced work environment. Equally significant is the preservation of the site’s cultural and spiritual anchors, including the existing Banyan tree and Ganpati temple, which are thoughtfully woven into the spatial narrative. Together, these elements shape a landmark identity that embodies the ethos of “technology with a soul.”

The conceptual framework challenges the historical perception of industrial architecture as rigid, introverted, and detached from human experience. Instead, the project explores the idea of “industrial fluidity,” where the built form negotiates between the static and the organic. Raw concrete and precise geometries represent the industrial, while terracotta brick, timber, and expansive glazing introduce warmth and permeability. This deliberate interplay allows the structure to breathe—both metaphorically and physically—creating an environment that is as responsive as it is functional.

The design process began by anchoring the site around its most significant natural element—the ancient Banyan tree—establishing it as a spiritual and visual focal point. This informed the orientation of the plan, creating direct sightlines from key interior zones to these landmarks. The architectural language was then softened through the introduction of curvilinear brick volumes, enabling the building to weave through the landscape rather than dominate it. Materiality further reinforces this dialogue, juxtaposing the solidity of exposed concrete with the tactile warmth of brick and wood.

A carefully orchestrated sequence defines the user experience, beginning with an entrance conceived as a decompression zone. Twin sunken lotus ponds and a double-height glazed lobby mark a transition from the intensity of industrial activity to a calmer, more contemplative atmosphere. Internally, the design carves out green pockets—“breathing lungs”—that ensure continuous visual and physical access to nature, reinforcing the project’s commitment to creating a humane and immersive industrial workspace.
