Adding a contemporary touch of architecture, the architect visualized the residence as a play of rectangular volumes by introducing various layers to the design as per the client’s needs and wants. Placed in a rectangular plot, the project makes the most of it by using a contemporary built form with well-planned green spaces around it.

A clean segregation of private and public spaces is achieved. The ground floor level accommodates the living, dining, puja, kitchen, a master bedroom, guest bedroom and a family living. A perfect balance of privacy is also established in this level. The first floor, on the other hand houses a master bedroom, two children bedrooms, a home theatre and a family lounge.

The approach to the main building is accessed from the east, characterised by plantation and a water body leading to the main porch. The living is a double height glass pavilion with a hovering wooden cladding and overlooking into the gardens on the two visible sides. The double height courtyard and the living spaces facilitate a beautiful view of the green spaces. As line of sight traverses multiple areas at once, the colour palette has been carefully chosen to extend a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The general language of the interior speaks of tradition and culture, which is achieved via the use of appropriate furniture and design.

The pathway to the sit-out area is paved with stones carpeting with grass. The main door is a natural teak wood door laid in horizontal grain pattern with marble backdrop creates a stunning entry way surrounding with large potted plants and creepers. It is achieved through the usage of  variant urban textures, claddings and screens. The custom-made laser cut partition creates a sense of visual connectivity between the foyer and the sit-out. The sit-out space with potted plants and creepers  flows and expands with water body that partly surrounds the living space  and also creates a visual screen in the foyer. The living room overlook the outer garden spaces with water body as central feature  creates a calming environment.

The foyer space is connected visually to a courtyard behind through glazed windows which brings in good natural lighting into the space. The carefully selected bright red console and green wall decors complements the palette of the interior. The family living room features wooden flooring and louvered window that breaks the monotony and contrasts with the white walls and ceiling. Two minimal lights on the ceiling adds character to the tone of the interior. The colour tone with contemporary furniture with warm wood creates a perfect ambience for cosy interactions.

The ladies seating looks more spacious and large windows add to the rooms natural light. Natural north light penetrates inside from the double height glass façade adding another dimension of grandeur to the space. The double height area facilitates a vertical spatial connection, providing visual communication and interaction between the two floor planes. The natural skylight in the living area fills the natural light inside and creates a dramatic effect with the play of shadows throughout the day. The ladies seating has been visualised with large vertical marble feature wall. The room is simply furnished with light brown leathered sofa in contrast with mustard yellow chairs and the dark brown marble finished coffee table. And the usage of rich colours which enhances aesthetics and focuses providing users with comfort, elegance and functionality with custom touches.

The dining space is filled with natural light from large windows. It is designed with the same chic language of the interiors, coupled with wooden ceiling and Italian flooring which blends traditional look with contemporary . The use of subtle colours harmonize with lights and the use of marble table accentuates their presence. The light fixture over the table enhances the elegant look of the interiors. The main passage acts as the central spine of the residence, dividing the spaces and binding the plan.  One can have visual connectivity of the whole open plan from foyer to puja room and the living spaces.

The ground floor combines the entrance foyer and the living with a custom  laser cut detailing work separating them in an open plan. This allows spaces to be flexible and visually connected setting the tone for the interior from the set go.  The bedroom on the first floor reflects the choice in the selection of the fabrics ,colour and texture of the materials. An exotic marble makes an appearance behind the bed brings glimmer and texture making the various elements of the room come together seamlessly. These are the result of designing the space with aesthetics in focus while understanding the family needs and reflection of their sophisticated yet modern lifestyle.

White and neutral colours can be found throughout the house becomes the foundation for bright, calm and airy Scandinavian aesthetic inspired interiors. The usage of deep grey-blues as well as wood, marble and fabrics contrasts and brings the beautiful amalgamation together. A rooted sense of tradition and muted contemporary aesthetics can be seen in the design.

A water body has been incorporated as a part of exterior landscape adding an element of tranquillity to the residence. The presence of the water body adds to the serenity of the space and also enhances the quality of the space. The spatial environment of the plan is apparent when moving throughout the ground floor. The planning is essentially open and the spaces are refined, with framed views to the exterior. The external walls with large glass windows that opens to the outer space  and the laser-cut partitions that separates the spaces without visual barriers are connected to garden spaces and courtyards and water bodies. The overhangs used in exterior spaces creates interesting pattern and character to the design and brings in good amount of natural lighting to the interior spaces without blocking it.
