Amazing MVPs from interior designers and architects worldwide are included in this curation. The architects created a unique yet not entirely experimental design, capturing curiosity about the hidden interior.

The site is 160 feet long with 60-foot shorter sides and giant yellow flame trees.

A home with lots of light and ventilation was what the client wanted. Formal and informal living rooms, eating areas, kitchens, a guest bedroom, a raised garden, and a double-height Puja are all located on the first level. A different stairway leads to the maid's entrance. The Puja is set against a backdrop of concrete panels over a pool of water.

It is a bold yet subtle home, designed with natural materials and passive techniques to tackle extreme climatic conditions. Inspired by Laurie Baker, the spaces feature stones, wood, steel, and colourful Athangudi tiles. Stereotypes were broken with heavy plasterwork, gilded metal grills, and elevation design, showcasing the richness of architectural vocabulary and cultural elements.

It was a house left by an organization that promised to support it economically. The project began as a low-income house, but the support group withdrew after the foundation was completed. To keep the leftover foundation, Ego Design Studio renovated a high-budget house in Kowdiar. The client, Mr. Sugathan, generously donated the wooden windows, starting the project with material donations.

A judicial officer and his family designed a serene oasis in the city, incorporating Panchabootha, a concept linking human experience with nature's elements. The compound wall, surrounded by a falling water feature, provides thermal comfort and soothing sound. The dining area extends to an outdoor deck, breaking urban noise barriers and elevating residents' serotonin levels.

The porch, originally a garage, now serves as a patio, fostering interactions and bonding among the family.

The house is designed within two parallel cuboids anchored around a central axis, with an alley leading to the entrance. A covered courtyard, a 'tulsi-vrindavan', and a stepping stones pathway add to the design.

The main load-bearing element is two parallel stone walls, oriented east-west. Black trap Deccan stone creates a tactile experience, while thick 18-inch stone walls keep interiors cooler. Glass windows offer stunning views.

The Brick House was designed to incorporate nature into the family's daily routine. The house features three bedrooms, a kitchen, and a large common space, with a veranda with flowery planter pots and a swing set for evening teas, capturing the essence of nature.

Post-Covid, residences have evolved into spaces for work, rejuvenation, and retreat. This residence, surrounded by buildings and a 100-feet main road, is open, spacious, and biophilic. The design addresses noise, neighbouring buildings, and the south side facade. The facade design includes a south wall for wardrobes and ferrocement fins for sliding glass shutters.

The client redesigned a property with a 30 feet front edge, 20 feet rear edge, and 10 feet side opening to maximize cross ventilation and green spaces. They left 5 feet on the western edge, opening the building from all four sides. The residence combines earthy tones with modern elements, featuring two bedrooms for senior residents and two living spaces.

The design serves Three generations: an elderly couple, their teenage daughter, and their parents. With a 3-meter-tall Corten steel gate, the house's outer face highlights its massive form.

The courtyard features a bespoke dining table inspired by the Champa Leaf and Rajasthan green marble with brass inlay.

The entryway and living room feature muted greys and timber wood, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere.

A sustainable architecture practicing firm is working with a modern client, Mr. Ramanujan Basha, who disapproves of traditional Kerala home systems and gender inequality. The concept of Chirath, meaning "light" in Malayalam, was developed by breaking the roof and allowing light to flow in. Despite the waste production, the firm believes in creating a more sustainable and utilitarian house.

The farmhouse's entrance features birds and bees, a sheltering roof, and a cool terracotta floor. The simplicity of the farmhouse, combined with the warmth of natural elements, creates a harmonious atmosphere.

Athulyam is a modern, minimalist-inspired home in the city center. It includes a 2BHK villa for rental and a 3BHK duplex for the client's family. The façade features warm materials and textures, with a denser brick jaali for privacy and a lighter first floor with wooden textured aluminium panels. The house features a compact ground floor house, an open sit-out space, and an expansive living room.

The house is designed around two Brahmasthans, addressing the courtyard, which reflects vibrancy and warmth, and is surrounded by built-ups and a screen.

The client requested a south-facing plot for a single family of doctors, requiring maximum daylight and ventilation. They also used massive windows for safety and rigidity, extending the roof to protect it from direct sun exposure. The design focuses on well-being and contemporary elements.

The entrance foyer transitions into an informal seating area, while the formal living, dining, and open kitchen merge.

The house radiates calmness with a white interior finish, furniture following the same design language, and a curved sculpture-like staircase as a focal point.

The veranda walls are clad in black leather-finish granite, creating a floating appearance.

The client wanted a contemporary house in a region with traditional architecture, combining vernacular planning techniques with contemporary design. The project unfolded magically, showcasing the beauty of love and architecture.

The facade features bricks, creepers, and a metal canopy, while the amphitheatre evokes the sea's mood and the traditional folk song of sailors.

The raw, unembellished treatment of building systems aligns with transparency and practicality. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a lush green lawn and a dramatic bullseye arch blending the indoor and outdoor environment.

Sendhil Residence is a minimalistic rustic cottage designed for Mr. Sendhil Narayan, who wanted a space adjacent to his self-owned school, ICTLCS. The studio is a stand-alone structure with a different architectural style, connected to the school grounds for easy accessibility and continuity with the site. The studio accommodates a single bedroom, office, dining, pantry, and living spaces.
